About Our Surgeon, Dr James Genge
Medical Director and Founder of Freedom Eye Laser and Northern Beaches Eye Surgery
Important changes toour services
Ophthalmology is a profession which requires close proximity to patients during examination. With our highest priority being the safety and ongoing health and wellbeing of our patients and staff, and with a large number of elderly patients, we have made the decision to temporarily close our practice effective immediately.
With an ongoing shortage of personal protective equipment in the main hospitals, elective surgery in this environment increases demand, taking away much needed protection from doctors at the front line dealing with the coronavirus. This is another factor in our decision to suspend surgery.
However, Dr Genge will still be treating patients with an imminent risk to sight, and these will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
Our reception will remain open in order to support you until our practice is fully functioning again. If you wish to speak to us, please contact us on 02 9981 1771 or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org
Stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you in the future.
